ATAA began as a chat group on Yahoo groups on June 8, 2000. Since then
we have grown into the dynamic group that we are today.
Afternoon Tea Across America was established as a friendly place where
those who enjoy all aspects of tea can share together. From tea with
friends at home, or tea times in favorite tea rooms, this group gives
all who enjoy tea a place to discuss favorites, share information,
pass along recipes, and more. You are welcome to join us at our tea
table as we share from sea to shining sea.
In addition, regional tea events for ATAA members are hosted whenever
and wherever a group member chooses to invite others to an ATAA tea
event. Meeting one another from across the country is the high point
of ATAA membership for many.
Members are encouraged to participate in any facet of ATAA that interests them.
Our ATAA Facebook group has been online since 2011. It has grown at a
healthy rate. There we share conversation, photos of tea events, and
links related to tea. If you are not a member of the Facebook group
but would like to be, the link to join is here:

Some ATAA members enjoy "pinning" tea related pictures on Pinterest.
Pinterest is a pinboard-style photo-sharing website that allows users
to create and manage theme-based image collections. Those who use
Pinterest can browse other pinboards for images, "re-pin" images to
their own pinboards, or "like" photos. It is somewhat like notebooking
or scrapbooking, but without scissors and glue.
The URL for our pin board is:

Group members who choose to have been participating in swaps and
exchanges. This year we have a birthday card exchange in progress for
group members who choose to participate. In addition, we have active
groups exchanging cards, tea samples, recipes, and envelope tuck-in gifts for
holidays.
Thank you for doing your part in making Afternoon Tea Across America a
vital and energetic place. Here we share our love for "all things
tea". Thank you for being a part of our tea group.
