As my invited guests are major “Whovians”. Some of you may not be familiar with Doctor
Who, it is a “BBC” television series that has been around since 1963. I was introduced to the 4th Doctor
many years ago (1976) when I was only then dating my darling husband. A person who follows the Doctor Who series
is called “Whovians” so I guess that is what you would call our family. Because
you could find us all together when our girls were living at home, in front of
the Television on a Saturday night, oh and you can’t forget the Christmas
evening specials, LOL
So with the help of the TARDIS and my very knowledgeable hubby we were off and running or shall I say creating. This was our invitation.
This was our Weeping Angel Banner, it says “Don’t Blink”
WHAT THE DOCTOR WILL TELL YOU REGARDING THE WEEPING ANGELS. |

Creative, indeed, Rosemary!
ReplyDeleteWhile not a whovian myself, I have been watching some of the past shows and reading about it and asking friends about the different Doctors and The Tardis to learn more.
Your menu was a fun adaption of everything including the 5th doctors lapel flower.
It was fun to enjoy your special TARDIS tea party with you through your post.
You are on your way to becoming a Whovian LOL
DeleteWhat a wonderful TARDIS tea party. Sending best wishes to your friend that couldn't make it. You were so creative in carrying out the theme. I loved the invitations, very nice!
ReplyDeleteThank You so much, I will be sure to pass on your best wishes.
DeleteYou are so creative, Great job, Rosemary!
ReplyDeleteThank You! :)
DeleteSuch fun! My niece would have truly enjoyed this special Afternoon Tea!
ReplyDeleteIf you want adapt my menu and have your niece over for tea, I sure she would love it.
DeleteLooks like such a fun tea party. So much effort went into it. My sister is a big Dr. Who fan. She loved Tom Baker as Dr. Who. Prayers for your friend.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the prayers and Tom Baker was a tough Doctor to follow, but Peter Davidson did pretty good, I must say Collin Baker really was not one of my favs..
DeleteI have to confess, I am not a Whovian. I have done a bit of research and tried to watch an episode in preparation for the Tardis' visit next month. I will do my best to make him feel welcome, but I won't be able to come close to you. It is so nice of you to make him feel so welcome. I was SOOOOO happy to see your Dr. Who tea party. I thought about "trying" to do one, but since I don't watch the show, I am sure it would have been a feeble attempt. It looks like the Tardis was very happy to help with your amazing party - WOW! Love the menu and your creativity. I will keep Janice in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteSips and Smiles,
Teresa
